Expense tracking without handing over your credentials
Most expense apps ask you to link your bank before showing you anything. Sumant does not. You choose what goes in: by typing it, or by uploading the file you download.
Why expense tracking gets abandoned
Almost always for the same reason: the effort comes before the payoff. A spreadsheet asks for weeks of discipline before it tells you anything useful, and connected apps ask for trust before proving anything.
Importing a statement flips that order. In one sitting you have months of history in and a summary that already means something, and from there keeping it current takes seconds.

No bank connection, on purpose
There is no bank integration in the Sumant codebase. It is not a pending feature: it is the product decision. It means there are no credentials to leak, no aggregator in the middle, and no permission to re-approve every 90 days.
In exchange, transactions do not appear on their own. You bring them: one at a time as they happen, or in bulk from a file when you want to catch up.

Is it free?
The free plan includes unlimited manual transactions, several accounts, budgets, the monthly dashboard, up to 3 goals and one import of up to 250 transactions. It does not expire.
Does it work on phone and desktop?
Yes. Sumant is an installable web app: it runs in your phone and desktop browser, and you can add it to your home screen. One account across every device.
Can I export my data?
Yes, at any time. The free plan exports to JSON; PRO adds CSV and XLSX, which open in Excel and Google Sheets.
