By creating an account and using Sumant you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't create an account or use the service.
1. What Sumant is
Sumant is a personal-finance web application that lets you manually record income, expenses, accounts and savings goals, and sync that data across devices.
Sumant does not connect to your bank nor access your bank accounts. All data is entered by you.
2. User account
To use Sumant you need to create an account with your email and a password. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential.
- All activity carried out from your account.
- Notifying us of any unauthorized access at hello@sumant.app.
- Being at least 16 years old to sign up.
3. Permitted use
You may use Sumant to manage your own personal finances. The following is prohibited:
- Using the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempting to access other users' data.
- Using automated tools to scrape or abuse the service.
- Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing access to the service.
- Reverse-engineering the code or the private API.
4. Your data
The financial data you enter is yours. We do not sell it nor use it for commercial or advertising purposes. You can export or delete it anytime from Settings → Data or Settings → Account. See the privacy policy for details.
5. Free plan and PRO plan
Sumant offers a free plan with essential features and a PRO plan with advanced features (custom categories, recurrents, unlimited goals, CSV export, advanced analytics).
- Payments: processed by Stripe. Sumant never stores your card.
- Monthly and annual: renew automatically at the end of each period. You can cancel the renewal at any time from Settings; you'll keep PRO until the paid period ends.
- Lifetime payment: single one-time payment. Does not renew.
- Refunds: we apply the 14-day right of withdrawal under Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 for EU consumers, unless the digital service has begun being used with your prior express consent, in which case you waive that right per the information provided at signup. 6. Free 7-day trial
Sumant offers a free 7-day trial of the monthly PRO plan. When you start it:
- Card required: you must provide a valid payment method. No charge is made until the 7 days end.
- Automatic charge: if you don't cancel before day seven, Stripe will automatically charge the monthly plan price (€2.49/month) and the subscription will continue renewing monthly.
- Cancellation during trial: you can cancel at any time from Settings → Account → Manage subscription. If you cancel during the trial, no charge is made and PRO access is deactivated when the trial ends.
- Waiver of right of withdrawal: by starting the trial you confirm that the digital service begins immediately and you expressly waive the 14-day right of withdrawal provided under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed into Spanish law as TRLGDCU art. 103.m) with respect to the digital service already started. All other consumer rights remain intact.
- One trial per account: the free trial is intended for new users. Sumant reserves the right to deny trial access in cases of abuse.
7. Service availability
Sumant is in beta. Interruptions, changes or discontinuations may occur without prior notice. We do everything reasonably possible to keep the service available and data intact, but we don't guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability.
Your synced data is backed up daily. Even so, we recommend periodically exporting your information from Settings → Data as a local copy.
8. No financial advice
Sumant is a recording and visualization tool. It does not constitute financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Decisions you make based on information shown in the app are your sole responsibility.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sumant will not be liable for indirect damages, data loss, lost profits or any other consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service. Total liability toward you shall not exceed the amount paid for the service during the 12 months prior to the triggering event.
This limitation does not apply to willful misconduct, gross negligence, or non-waivable rights granted to users by Spanish consumer law.
10. Intellectual property
The code, design, brand, logo and contents of Sumant are the property of its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or reuse them without prior written authorization.
The data you enter is yours at all times. You grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of providing the service.
11. Suspension and cancellation
We may suspend or cancel your account if you breach these terms, use the service fraudulently or put other users at risk. Except in serious cases, we'll notify you by email in advance.
You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Account. When you do, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
12. Modifications
We may update these terms. If the change is material we'll notify you by email (if you have an account) with at least 15 days' notice. If you continue using the service after that period, you'll be deemed to accept the new terms.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of the owner's domicile in Spain, without prejudice to the rights granted to users by consumer law.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can access the European online dispute resolution platform.
